Churchill and Emily- Animatic halfway point?

Animating this thing is taking a while. I'm working out parts as I'm going along and thinking about the 3D aspect of what I'm making.  Some of it will not communicate in this animatic what with my using 2D versions of the collage in profile as well as front view. Anyway, here is the so far! All feedback would be hugely appreciated.

  1. For me, the animatic really works when the pieces feel purposeful in their relationship to each other, and less purposeful when you've got elements just appearing or moving; so the section that starts at about 20 secs feels less purposeful than the sequence before it - does that make sense?

    1. Yes, it doesn't quite fit yet. Im struggling with how to make that section feel like 'passion' as its the 'slowest' part of the music track. I'm not sure what kind of purposeful movements to give the elements to portray it.

  2. I actually like the whole thing..it feels like an abstract music video, and I liked the screen slide when just the leg was on the screen. It made me smile :D

  3. I agree with all of the other comments. I think it would be easier to choose what to make the 'thing'do in the middle section of the track after deciding the general mood of to be associated with the whole animation. I think that so far the mood is generally playful (and I really liked how the leg was dribbling the eye ball haha). So in that middle section I suggest to have to have the different parts (eye, nose, lips and leg) simply throbbing in their positions as they are in the original art work. This should of course be on beat as the track goes on in the 0.20 - 0.37 section. Thanks
